Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need basic plate insurance?

Yes. For complete coverage, you are required to have basic plate insurance in addition to your extended motorcycle insurance.

Does my motorcycle insurance provide coverage during the off season?

Yes, when you insure your motorcycle, the coverage protects against damage that occurs times of the year when the vehicle is not licensed, as long as it’s not operated on Crown lands, trails, lakes, any public roadways or space, or in the mountains.

What additional insurance is recommended for me?

Because of the high risk of danger associated with motorcycles, we suggest adding personal injury payment benefits and/or family security coverage to your package.

How does insurance affect my deductible?

Package policies can change what your deductible costs you in the event of an accident. Depending on your insurance needs and what you’d like your monthly payments to be, you can lower your deductible, increase your deductible, or, in some situations, completely waive your deductible. Speak with your Butler Byers Account Manager to customize your deductible.
